Title : System Engineer Level 2
You'll Bring These Qualifications :
Active NSA FS Poly is required for this position.
14 years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
IAT Level II
Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Level 1 and 2 helpdesk support supporting external customers in configuring firewall devices
External customers will have firewalls from following vendors : Cisco, Forcepoint, Sonicwall, Juniper, McAfee
Knowledge of syslog / rsyslog in relation to device log collection / forwarding
General knowledge of network traffic concepts (i.e. TCP / UDP, firewall allow / denies, firewall rules, etc)
General knowledge of Two Stage Administration Control ( TSAC ) solutions (TPAM, Cisco ASA Anyconnect VPN, etc) a plus
What You'll Get to Do :
Analyze user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities.
Guide users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, conducts feasibility studies, assesses risks with risk management plans, and coordinates system integration activities among multiple teams.
Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations. Establishes processes to control and manage changes to requirements and their impact.
Develop technical documentation : system architecture and system design documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents
More About the Role :
Support the planning and test analysis of the DoD Certification / Accreditation Processes and the development and review of Joint Capability Integration Development System ( JCIDS ) documents.
Conduct quantitative analysis in non-functional system performance areas like Reliability, Maintainability, Vulnerability, Survivability, Produce-ability, etc.).
Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives, derives an understanding of stakeholder needs and plans the verification efforts of new and unproven designs early in the development life cycle to ensure compliance with established requirements.
Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board ( CCB ) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross-discipline coordination.
