About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Data Platform Architect Lead to design, build, and maintain Azure-based data platforms. This role includes leading a team, optimizing data delivery, and driving the adoption of technologies like Azure Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain Azure-based data platforms.
- Drive adoption of Azure Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI.
- Perform architectural assessments and create design documents.
- Lead and mentor technical teams, managing performance and growth.
- Define platform governance and collaborate with enterprise architecture.
- Implement security strategies, monitoring frameworks, and automation using CI/CD tools.
Must-Have Skills:
- Expertise in Azure Cloud data platforms and architecture.
- Strong experience with Azure Databricks, Snowflake, and Power BI.
- Proven ability in complex data solution design and team leadership.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Snowflake and Databricks certifications.
- Experience with Apache Airflow, CI/CD tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps).
Top Certification:
- Microsoft Azure Platform Architecture Certification. *Required
Required Experience:
- 10 years in Data & Analytics architecture, focusing on Azure.
- 5 years leading cloud platform teams.
- Hands-on with Azure Synapse, SQL Server, ADF, Power BI, and Big Data.
- Strong skills in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and T-SQL.
- Knowledge of data security standards (GDPR, PCI), RBAC, and encryption.
