Job Description
- We are looking for a talented Sample Maker to join our team.
- The Sample Maker will be responsible for constructing high-quality samples of garments based on design specifications.
- This role requires a keen eye for detail and strong sewing skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with product design and product development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create prototypes and samples of garments, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with designers to understand their vision and translate it into physical samples.
- Cut all pattern pieces and components from various fabrics and trims.
- After fittings make adjustments to samples for proper fit and construction.
- Maintain an organized workspace and keep track of materials and samples.
- Assist in developing new techniques and processes to improve sample development and suggest efficiencies in production.
- Communicate effectively with the design and production teams regarding timelines and project updates.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Sample Maker or similar role in the fashion industry.
- Strong sewing and garment construction skills, with proficiency in various sewing techniques.
- Familiarity with CAD software and patternmaking is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- Sample Maker: 2 years (Required)
- CAD software: 1 year (Preferred)
