Job Description:
Talent Groups is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to support a high-profile class action settlement involving large-scale fund distributions. This role requires extensive audit experience and strong SQL skills to ensure accurate and compliant fund allocations. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading audits, performing data-driven investigations, and analyzing large financial datasets. Given the critical nature of this work, attention to detail and experience in high-visibility environments are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead audit efforts related to fund distribution, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Work closely with client and data teams to verify proper allocation of payments.
- Analyze large financial datasets and run SQL queries to support audit processes.
- Provide executive-level reports on audit findings and risk assessments.
- Develop test work programs and audit methodologies for process evaluations.
- Identify and communicate potential risks or discrepancies in payments.
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments as part of the settlement oversight.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a smooth and transparent audit process.
Top Required Skills:
- Audit experience – must have led audits in previous roles.
- SQL proficiency – strong ability to read and run SQL queries for data analysis.
- Investigation and risk assessment – experience identifying financial discrepancies and working with large datasets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Five or more years of experience in internal or external auditing with a focus on non-routine financial processes.
- Certifications such as CIA, CPA, or CISA are a plus.
- Ability to analyze complex legal and financial documents.
- Experience handling high-profile, large-scale financial transactions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for executive reporting.
