Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or situation.
• Identify actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
• Develop individualized care plans with measurable outcomes.
• Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and promote health and safety.
• Delegate care elements to appropriate healthcare workers within legal and policy parameters.
• Evaluate progress toward goals and outcomes.
• Practice with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
• Communicate effectively across all areas of practice.
• Collaborate with healthcare consumers and stakeholders in nursing practice.
• Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, lift, reach, stoop, bend, push, and pull.
• Must be able to lift and support 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
• Must speak English clearly and understandably.
• Intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch.
• Finger dexterity and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to the American Heart Association.
• Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of practice.
• For National License Compact (NLC) states, meet the licensure requirements in your home state.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
