The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the movement of goods and services within the supply chain, ensuring the efficient, timely, and cost-effective flow of products from suppliers to customers. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors, managing inventory, and ensuring that the organization’s supply chain operations run smoothly. This is a temp to perm role!
Key Responsibilities:
Order Management:
- Monitor and track orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring that products are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain and monitor inventory levels, ensuring stock availability without overstocking.
- Coordinate stock replenishments and ensure that product availability aligns with demand.
- Conduct regular stock audits and manage discrepancies.
Supplier Coordination:
- Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers, ensuring timely order fulfillment and addressing any supply chain issues.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable conditions for the company.
Logistics Management:
- Coordinate the transportation and delivery of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective shipping methods.
- Work closely with logistics partners to track shipments and resolve delays or issues as needed.
- Manage the paperwork and documentation associated with shipping and receiving.
Data Entry & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records in supply chain management systems, including order details, inventory levels, and supplier information.
- Provide regular reports to management regarding supply chain performance, including tracking KPIs and identifying areas for improvement.
Problem Solving:
- Address and resolve supply chain issues, such as delays, quality issues, and inventory discrepancies.
- Proactively work with internal teams and external partners to identify process improvements.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, including purchasing, sales, warehouse, and customer service, to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to manage costs and ensure budget compliance within the supply chain.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure that all supply chain activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Maintain a focus on safety standards within the supply chain process.
Qualifications:
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience in supply chain coordination, logistics, or inventory management (typically 1-3 years).
- Familiarity with supply chain management software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify issues and develop solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
