What You Will Do
As the Safety Coordinator you will spend much of your time in the field to monitor and reinforce safety best practices relating OSHA / MSHA and commercial driving (DOT / FMCSA).
From facilitating incident learning teams and safety meetings to developing and conducting engaging employee trainings youll play an integral part as we stand together to reinvent the way our world is built.
This position will support all lines of business (aggregates asphalt readymix and construction) for Montana Materials & Construction comprised of 150 total employees.
Qualifications :
3 years as safety management experience.
Must be within a heavy civil construction environment.
Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
Proven engagement and influence skills with the capacity to build strong relationships and provide meaningful coaching and feedback to a diverse workforce.
Passion for employee safety and continuous improvement through innovation.
Preferred Qualifications :
Safety certifications such as ASP CHST OSHA 510 / 500 Competent Person Trainings MSHA Blue Card or related.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience managing safety programs in a heavycivil construction environment (not vertical / commercial construction petroleum solar electrical manufacturing telcom) with an understanding of risk identification and mitigation associated with job sites that are located on major highways trench / excavation underground wet utilities site construction and closely related tasks.
