The Project Superintendent will oversee a team of field operations personnel executing specific data center projects, including site safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, and trade contractor and supplier coordination. This position combines a senior professional-level trade skill set with basic project management methods to complete any task related to the installation and maintenance of a data center fiber infrastructure installations/projects. The Project Superintendent is primarily responsible for achieving overall job site productivity and ensuring high-quality work. Core Duties & Responsibilities include ensuring safety as the number one priority, promoting company Core Values, assisting Field Supervisors and Lead Technicians with planning material acquisition and scheduling projects, providing ongoing leadership and guidance to field staff, collaborating with Project Managers and other teams to meet codes and standards, conducting frequent site walks to verify construction activities, and driving continuous improvement activities across the site. The role also involves developing technical training and SOPs, creating project metrics, and maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor on the job site.
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction(structured cabling experience preferred).
- Experience in large data center infrastructure industry including technology, quality, and safety standards.
- Minimum 3 years’ supervision and/or training experience, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
- Knowledge of general building codes and BICSI Standards
- Read, write, and understand English, bilingual is a plus.
