About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced VP of Sales to drive significant growth for a leading global provider of telecom hardware and solutions. In this strategic role, you will be developing and executing a sales strategy to grow revenue with a major telecom customer via RFP/RFI's, potentially a $200-300M business. You will establish and nurture executive-level relationships (VP and above) at the customer.
Required Skills:
- 10 years of B2B sales experience, with a proven track record of success selling customer premises equipment into a major telecom account
- Existing high-level relationships (VP-level and above) at a large telecom provider
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales engineering, solution architecture, and operations teams
- Experience navigating the RFP/RFI process at enterprise-level customers
- Manage a distributed team supporting the account, including remote resources
- Travel approximately 20-30% of the time to customer locations
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of the North American telecom market and key industry trends
- Familiarity with global team collaboration and cross-time zone coordination
- Understanding of the telecom provider's buying process and decision-making hierarchy
