We are seeking a dynamic and experienced People Services Director (PSD) to serve as a strategic partner to our executive and leadership teams. In this highly impactful role, you will lead and implement people-focused initiatives that support our hospital’s mission, culture, and operational goals. The PSD is responsible for all aspects of People Services, including employee relations, compensation, performance management, training, and leadership development.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a one-person department, ideal for a motivated HR professional who thrives in an autonomous, fast-paced environment. The PSD will report directly to the hospital CEO and collaborate with Lifepoint Division People Services for strategic guidance. Many People Services functions, such as recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and performance management, are centralized and supported through Lifepoint Business Services (launching October 2025), utilizing Oracle systems for seamless employee and manager self-service.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a trusted advisor to executive and department leaders on all HR-related matters

Lead employee relations initiatives, ensuring a fair, consistent, and legally compliant approach

Oversee compensation practices, performance evaluations, and position control

Champion training, development, and leadership growth opportunities for staff

Manage HR operations and day-to-day functions independently in a hands-on capacity

Collaborate with centralized Lifepoint Business Services teams on shared HR functions

Maintain a strong presence on campus to support employee engagement and organizational culture
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required)

Minimum of 5 years of HR leadership experience in an acute care hospital setting (required)

Proven expertise in employee relations with a strong understanding of HR best practices

Highly organized with excellent multitasking abilities

Salary : $110,000 - $115,000
