Job Overview
Talent Software Services is seeking an experienced Resident Const Inspector to work at their company. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate contractor proposals and remedial actions to correct schedule problems.
- Provide technical interpretation of construction drawings and specification requirements.
- Lead or assist the resident engineer in the interpretation/clarification process during construction.
- Oversee the review, tracking, and distribution of contractor submittals from site.
- Interpret contract documents for QA/QC.
- Assist with logs and tracks all issues, proposed changes, change orders, and claims.
- Manage the administration of project documentation, records, and reporting onsite.
- Supervise and perform inspections as appropriate; schedules and witnesses field testing performed by others.
- Develop project construction punch lists for substantial and final completion.
- Coordinate and monitor quality assurance for all aspects and disciplines onsite for the project.
- Document field observations.
- Serve as onsite liaison to owner and contractor.
Qualifications
- An Associate's degree in a construction-related discipline or craft apprenticeship preferred.
- Soil and concrete testing experience preferred.
- Water main line inspection or similar piping inspection preferred.
- Certifications for concrete, compaction and civil tests preferred.
- Inspection certification preferred.
