What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator position at TALENT Software Services?
The TV Mastering department is a critical piece of Distribution and Content Services operations. It serves as the point of contact with television post-production vendors and production teams to collect all production deliverables and status information required to localize and fulfill distribution program licensing deals and agreements. Many downstream functions rely on the effective communication and operations of this department's work.
- Liaise directly with post-production vendors, television production groups, and internal and external clients to coordinate, collect, manage, manufacture, and disseminate production information and assets.
- Facilitate the collection of production information/assets, manage the quality control of such assets, manage the creation of serviceable assets, and ensure assets are uploaded into approved repositories to support the localization and distribution process.
- Handle time-sensitive workflows, with availability to work outside of normal office hours or during the weekend when required to ensure no interruption to critical path workflows.
- Ensure television production assets required for distribution exploitation are on track for delivery. Regularly communicate with production and post-production vendors to ensure production assets are delivered per technical specifications and on-time to support distribution licensing deals and meet order delivery deadlines. Communicate production activities and delivery status information to all operating units.
- Create Purchase Orders and Work Orders required for vendor engagement of distribution-required services, assets, and components. Manage vendor execution to ensure assets are quality controlled and mastered into a format that can be serviced for all distribution exploitation in all media.
- Coordinate Quality Control (QC) processing and address/resolve technical issues with Post Production as identified via QC report findings.
- Question existing QC and mastering workflows and raise recommendations to ensure processes are performed in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Embrace new technology opportunities, incorporating new processes as made available or determined by Management.
- Provide department overflow coverage when needed for the team, including purchase order creation, work order creation, and production tracking/asset delivery oversight.
- Develop documentation to allow for proper initiation and execution of new workflows. Establish training guides and schedules with teams to ensure processes are rolled out and utilized.
- Minimum 5 years of Post-Production/Post Vendor experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience processing 4K assets.
- International experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
