What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interventional Radiology position at TALENT Software Services?
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Assist the Radiologist during the entire course of the procedure as requested by the clinician on patients based on age appropriateness
- Establishes and maintains lines of communication with other medical center departments in order to ensure safe and effective patient care
- Regulate patient flow into and out of the department and functions as a liaison between Radiology and other departments to ensure continuity of services
- Maintains a high level of technical skills to regularly and proficiently organize, train and counsel technical staff, with regard to job performance, professional growth and knowledge of departmental policies and procedures
- Utilizes expertise to provide leadership and training for technologists in their section of imaging/radiology
- Oversees staffing, scheduling and payroll utilizing workday and krono's applications
- Oversee operations at multiple campuses to deliver IR ervices
- Communicates to radiologists clinical observations during interventional radiology procedures
- Assist in gathering, recording data and serving as committee member for Radiology Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs
- Demonstrates competency in the knowledge of the EPIC/PACS modules appropriate to their job responsibilities
- Must be credentialed to practice by Hospital Medical Board
- Must have an understanding of anatomy and pathology and how they affect the quality of a procedure
- High School or GED dipoma
- Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and A.M.A
- Familiarity with CPT coding
- The Interventional Radiology Technologist will perform diagnostic angiographic procedures and completing complex vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures exams on inpatient, outpatient and emergency department
