Job Functions
- Assessment Skills: Conduct thorough and accurate assessments, applying knowledge of growth and development stages from Pediatric to Geriatric.
- Clinical Skills: Demonstrate competent clinical skills and provide direct patient care activities in support of patient care delivery.
- Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate documentation, adhering to guidelines and ensuring patient progress is well-documented.
- Professionalism: Exhibit professional practice responsibility and identify areas for clinical and professional growth.
- Patient Satisfaction: Respond to patients, families, and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner, promoting a patient-centered environment.
- Safety: Follow National Patient Safety Goals and utilize safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
- Unit Specific Job Function: Demonstrate knowledge of conditions, procedures, and equipment for surgical patients, individualizing care accordingly.
- Responsibility and Accountability: Prioritize patient care based on needs and condition changes, contributing to the perioperative team.
- Patient Education and Chart Completion: Assess patient understanding and actively involve them and their families in teaching.
- Duties Specific to PAT RN: Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness.
- 1 year experience in Critical Care/Cardiac or ED
- BLS - Required
- RN License - Required
- ACLS - Required
- PALS - Required for pediatric ER only
