Job Description Summary
The main function of the Web Developer is to design, code, and create system specifications, analyze, evaluate, test, debug, document, and implement complex software applications.
Job Responsibilities
Design, code, test, document, implement, and maintain application programs and interfaces.
Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
Modify, install, and prepare technical documentation for system software applications.
Monitor systems capacity and performance, plan and execute disaster recovery procedures, and provide technical support.
Identify, escalate, and document production impact issues.
Evaluate user requests for new or modified computer programs to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current systems and capabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field preferred.
5 years experience required.
Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues.
Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles.
Knowledge of good UX design, REST API design, and product design.
Expertise in the frontend space with JavaScript, React, Redux, RxJS and in the backend space with either C#, Node.js, Java, or Go.
Candidate Requirements
Years of Experience Required : At least 5 overall years of experience in the field.
Degrees or certifications required : Bachelor's degree preferred, but no degree is required to be eligible for this role.
Best vs. Average : Stability and reliability with experience building customer-facing products with a focus on user-friendly designs.
Performance Indicators : Performance will be assessed based on the ability to deliver work on time, clear communication of needs and progress, and self-sufficiency in completing tasks.
