Our client the Florence Immigrant & Refugee Rights Project is adding a Finance Director to their leadership team. FIRRP has experienced significant growth and the services provided are needed now more than ever.

This position is available as they are transitioning financial operations internally from previously outsourcing this function. The role is an important part of the leadership team reporting to the Executive Director and contributing to organizationwide strategy and will be key in strengthening the financial vision of the organization. This person will be developing / implementing new systems and processes that support this growth and ultimately the organization’s ability to thrive and expand its mission.

What You Will Do – Responsibilities & Deliverables :

The Finance Director is responsible for the financial strategy and health of the organization overseeing the organization’s financial operations ensuring compliance with regulations and providing critical financial information to support informed financial decisions. Working closely with the Executive Director the finance director is responsible for budgeting financial planning reporting and grant management. They will balance financial sustainability and FIRRP’s mission while driving financial best practices.

  • Analyze financial data and advise the organization on financial decisions; this includes complex data sets.
  • Provide oversight for and manage all forecasts budgets and investments.
  • Automate and streamline financial functions systems and programs.
  • Develop spreadsheets key reports and best use of financial software programs.
  • Present financial data to stakeholders.
  • Work with all departments to develop and implement strategic financial processes to help achieve FIRRP’s goals.
  • Lead and motivate the finance team train and develop and set an example of best practices and financial principles
  • Provide longterm financial planning tools resources and strategies.
  • Maximize resource allocation.
  • Serve as an active participant on FIRRP’s leadership team.

  • Salary based on years of experience ranging from $110K $135K with the opportunity to grow in responsibility and pay quickly.
  • Valuable time off that includes 25 days of Vacation time accrued annually 15 organizationalpaid holidays observed 5 days of medical / sick time annually 1 personal day monthly 8 weeks of paid sabbatical after 3 years of employment parental leave that includes 12 weeks paid and bereavement leave

  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting finance or related field
  • 5 years of relevant experience serving in a highlevel accounting capacity
  • Deep understanding of budgeting financial planning and financial analysis
  • Experience effectively leading and managing a finance team collaborating with other departments and communicating financial information to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nonprofit regulations and compliance
  • Leadership experience being a proactive and engaged supervisor without micromanaging and being a clear and thoughtful decisionmaker.
  • Advanced understanding of accounting and financial software.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Certified Public Account (CPA)
  • Previous experience working as an accounting leader for a nonprofit organization.
