Position Title: Production Assistant- 3RD SHIFT
Location: Grandville,Mi
Position Overview:
Join our team and help ensure smooth operations in production. You’ll work alongside the Manufacturing Supervisor to provide materials, assist in mold changes, and support shipping/receiving. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and value safety, this is the role for you!
Primary Responsibilities:
- Shift Coordination: Communicate effectively with oncoming and outgoing shifts. Briefly review the first two hours of activities.
- Production Planning: Meet with your team (Supervisor, Technician, Die Setter) to discuss the plan for your shift.
- Machine and Material Checks: Ensure all machines have full hoppers and that the right materials are in place.
- Packaging & Safety: Ensure each workstation has enough packaging, remove finished goods, and keep work cells organized and safe.
- Mold Changes & Maintenance: Assist in mold changes, reduce downtime, and ensure machines are clean and free of excess materials.
- Material Handling: Ensure proper storage and identification of materials. Keep grinders emptied and maintain cleanliness.
- Support: Assist with cycle counts, equipment operation, and any other tasks as needed.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist in Shipping/Receiving
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, work with a team, and operate machinery safely.
- Experience: Experience in production or manufacturing preferred.
