What are the responsibilities and job description for the Final Assembly position at Talent Strategy?
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Final Assembler to join our team in the Grandville, MI area! This role involves the assembly of rough terrain forklifts, requiring expertise in the installation of key components such as axles, engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, cooling systems, electrical systems, and tires. As a Final Assembler, you will also be responsible for assembling and installing masts, counterweights, and decals with precision and accuracy.
1st shift: 6am to 4pm (Mon-Thurs)
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install major forklift components, including axles, engines, transmissions, and brakes.
- Set up and integrate hydraulic systems, cooling hoses, electrical systems, and tires.
- Assemble and attach mast, counterweight, and all associated decals.
- Adhere to quality standards for heavy equipment operation and appearance.
- Operate various machinery (e.g., drill press, radial drill, saws, ironworker, milling machine, lathe, shaper, turret punch press, plasma torch table, brake press).
- Utilize pneumatic power tools and follow the Kan-Ban supply system for assembly.
- Handle and move materials using overhead cranes.
Qualifications:
- Practical experience in automotive or mechanical systems assembly.
- Proficiency with pneumatic tools and familiarity with Kan-Ban systems.
- Ownership of hand tools and a secure tool storage cabinet.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly and detail prints.
- Confidence and precision in assembly tasks and quality workmanship.
