Machine Builder Service Technician
Location: Wisconsin
Shift: Day shift, home every evening
Pay: $85,000-$95,000
Job Description:
A leader in surface finishing and shot blasting technology, is seeking a skilled Machine Builder/Installer to join our team. This role involves assembling, installing, and servicing industrial finishing equipment at our facility and customer sites. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience with industrial machinery, and a willingness to travel for equipment installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and build industrial finishing machines according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain machinery at customer locations.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assembly work.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure machines meet performance standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.
- Travel to customer sites for installation, testing, and training.
- Provide on-site customer support and troubleshooting as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2 years of experience in machine building, assembly, or industrial equipment installation.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of PLCs and automation systems (preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Ability to lift heavy components and work in industrial environments.
