JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Lead will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and reliability of our production equipment and facilities to ensure optimal operational efficiency and minimal downtime. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership:
• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
2. Equipment Maintenance:
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all production equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify and address potential issues before they result in downtime.
• Coordinate and perform corrective maintenance activities to resolve equipment breakdowns promptly.
3. Reliability Improvement:
• Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and implement strategies for improving reliability and reducing downtime.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
4. Safety Compliance:
• Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct safety training for maintenance personnel and promote a safety-first culture within the team.
5. Inventory Management:
• Manage spare parts inventory to ensure timely availability of critical components for maintenance activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to source quality parts at competitive prices.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory.
• Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance metrics, and resource utilization.
7. Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the maintenance department.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in maintenance and leadership roles within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
