Mobile Fleet Technician
Location: Byron Center– Grand Rapids, MI
Compensation: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Mobile Fleet Technician – Opportunity Summary
Seeking a skilled and customer-focused Mobile Fleet Technician to join our team in the Grand Rapids, MI area. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance (PM) and inspections on customer vehicles at their locations. You will deliver exceptional service while maintaining a professional and proactive approach to vehicle care.
This role includes detailed visual inspections, maintenance services, and identifying worn, damaged, or broken components. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, service-oriented, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) services on customer trucks and fleet vehicles
- Identify and report unreported issues or potential problems during service
- Maintain clear and timely communication with dispatch regarding arrivals, departures, and job progress
- Manage and track inventory daily
- Participate in ongoing training and apply learned skills in the field
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including Field Service Reports (FSRs) and used oil manifests
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in work areas and mobile units
Qualifications:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, in various weather conditions
- Own tools preferred but not required – PM-specific tooling provided.
- Experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Service Technician is a plus, but not mandatory
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (no CDL required)
- Strong organizational skills and clear verbal/written communication
- Sound decision-making abilities and the ability to work independently
