Job Title: Press Operator
Location: Holland, MI
Shift: 2nd Shift
Pay: $23.50/hr.
Job Duties:
• Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications working with die setters.
• Install nest and fingers.
• Positions work piece in nest or feeder.
• Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
• Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors including first piece.
• Cleans machines.
• Catches, packs and inspects parts.
• Operates Quality Gages.
• Performs hourly checks.
• Fills out log tags, production reports, and die maintenance control forms.
• Reports any problems to supervisor.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities including automation and tooling improvements.
Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor
Required Skills:
• Familiar with tandem press operations
• Works well with others
• Maintains a good attendance record
• Operating experience on Tandem Press
Required Experience:
• Operates Quality Gages.
• Performs hourly checks.
• Fills out log tags, production reports, and die maintenance control forms.
• Reports any problems to supervisor.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities including automation and tooling improvements.
