Tig Welder
Location: South Haven, Michigan

Pay: $20-$25 based on experience
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have experience Tig welding stainless steel and aluminum components with precision and consistency. This role is crucial in manufacturing high-quality food processing equipment, requiring attention to detail, a strong understanding of welding techniques, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum components used in food processing machinery.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Maintain high-quality welds that meet industry and company standards for strength, appearance, and sanitation.
- Operate various hand tools, grinders, and finishing equipment to refine welded materials.
- Ensure all welding work is completed with precision, consistency, and minimal distortion.
- Work closely with fabrication and assembly teams to meet production deadlines.
- Conduct quality checks on welded parts, ensuring adherence to FoodTools' strict safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
- 2 years of TIG welding experience, preferably in stainless steel and aluminum.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication, welding processes, and finishing techniques.
- Experience with grinding, polishing, and post-weld finishing to achieve a sanitary surface.
- Knowledge of food-grade welding standards (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the food equipment manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with sanitary welding practices and regulatory requirements.
- Certification in TIG welding (AWS or similar) is a plus.
