Talent Vision, a Staffing and Consulting Firm, is proud to partner with a distinguished charter school in Rochester, NY, to support the recruitment of a dedicated Middle & High School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher for the 2025-2026 School Year. In this role, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate young minds, fostering a love of literature and language while promoting literacy and critical thinking skills.

Core Responsibilities in Middle School ELA Instruction

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state English Language Arts standards and promote critical thinking, communication, and creativity.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and maintain a stimulating classroom environment.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Incorporate technology and innovative instructional resources to enhance learning and keep students engaged.
  • Foster a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and promotes respect and student self-discipline.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and resources that support student achievement.
  • Communicate regularly with parents / guardians to provide updates on student progress and to foster a collaborative approach to education.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and keep current with educational best practices.
  • Support extracurricular activities that enrich student learning and development.

Required Qualifications for ELA Teaching Success

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Valid state teaching certification for middle school English Language Arts is required.
  • Experience in teaching middle school students, preferably in an ELA classroom setting, is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of middle school ELA curriculum standards and teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in educational technology to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students through dynamic teaching methodologies.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration with the educational team.
