- Revenue Mastery: Spearhead the adoption and adherence to revenue recognition principles, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately captured and classified. Partner with the accounting leadership to craft and refine policies that align with current standards.
- Inventory Expertise: Direct the inventory accounting process, ensuring precise valuation and cost management. Collaborate with operational teams to maintain accurate inventory records and address issues like excess and obsolescence.
- Systems Synchronization: Oversee the reconciliation between our financial systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Work alongside IT to troubleshoot and enhance system interfaces for optimal performance.
- Audit and Compliance: Lead audit processes, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory and auditing standards. Drive internal control improvements to uphold compliance with key regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Guide the preparation of financial statements, ensuring transparency and compliance with revenue and inventory disclosures. Ensure all financial presentations are accurate and align with accounting standards.
- Collaborative Growth: Work with various departments to align financial strategies with business goals. Provide expert advice on new initiatives, ensuring they meet revenue and inventory accounting standards.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop your team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth. Equip them with the skills needed to excel in complex accounting scenarios.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A CPA or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- A decade of experience in accounting, emphasizing revenue recognition and inventory management.
- Proficiency in ASC 606 and a deep understanding of inventory management techniques.
- Experience with financial systems such as Oracle GL and AS400, with a knack for resolving discrepancies.
- Proven leadership capabilities, with a track record of guiding teams and enhancing processes.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
