- Design and implement robust quality assurance protocols to maintain product consistency and compliance.
- Conduct thorough inspections of production operations, pinpointing enhancement opportunities and ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks.
- Leverage data analytics to uncover trends and areas ripe for improvement, bolstering commitment to quality.
- Address customer feedback on product quality, working seamlessly with customer support to deliver swift resolutions.
- Create and manage comprehensive quality documentation, including procedures, flowcharts, and control reports.
- Empower production teams with training on quality best practices, offering continuous support and guidance.
- Champion the maintenance of ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification.
- Analyze scrap data to develop strategies for waste reduction.
- Evaluate and enhance gauging and inspection systems for optimal performance.
- Ensure timely calibration of gauges and reference standards.
- Coordinate Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies for precision tools.
- Propose improvements for Quality Systems, focusing on data management, process automation, and fixture design.
- Compile and present key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review sessions.
- Engage in additional projects and tasks to support organizational goals.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and stand for prolonged durations.
- Capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Comfortable with climbing, crawling, and other physical activities as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related discipline. Certification in quality engineering is advantageous, or a minimum of five years in a quality engineering role within a metal-working environment.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards, with preference for certified internal or lead auditors.
- Proficiency in quality assurance methodologies like APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, PFMEA, and SPC.
- Experience with manufacturing processes and operational dynamics.
- Skilled in statistical analysis and data-driven problem-solving techniques.
- Expertise in CMM operations, precision measuring tools, and gauge usage.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, layout techniques, calibration, and blueprint interpretation.
