Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of quality specialists, overseeing product inspections and testing to maintain consistent quality control across all materials and production processes.
- Collaborate with senior management to address and resolve customer quality concerns, including on-site visits to understand and rectify issues.
- Serve as a technical expert, providing guidance on product specifications, compliance standards, and performance metrics.
- Coordinate third-party compliance assessments and liaise with regulatory bodies to address product compliance challenges.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Engineering, and Process Management, to integrate quality control measures into product development and manufacturing processes.
- Utilize statistical analysis to evaluate product data, making informed recommendations for specification adjustments based on market and customer feedback.
- Define protocols for managing nonconforming products and direct the team in corrective actions.
- Support special initiatives such as product returns and production shutdowns, ensuring efficient operations and quality standards are maintained.
- Identify and procure necessary testing equipment and software, maintaining these resources to ensure optimal functionality and data accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- 5-7 years of substantial experience in quality assurance or production within a comparable manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in VSI standards and the ability to interpret ASTM standards.
- Proven leadership experience with a focus on team development and performance management.
