Role Overview
In this position, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining our advanced information systems. Collaborate with diverse IT teams to deliver top-notch services using technologies from Microsoft, Cisco UCS, and other leading vendors. Your expertise in virtualization will be crucial in driving our business objectives forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Mastery : Spearhead the planning and upkeep of robust physical and virtual infrastructures, integrating emerging technologies to enhance virtual environments.
- VMware Expertise : Oversee VMware environments, focusing on ESX vSphere versions 6 and 7. Monitor performance, optimize servers, and troubleshoot complex issues across multiple data centers housing over 1,000 servers.
- Virtual Machine Management : Execute seamless migrations of ESX hosts and virtual machines across various environments and data centers.
- VM Creation : Design and deploy virtual machines from the ground up, crafting VMware clusters tailored for critical business applications.
- Live Migrations : Perform live migrations of virtual machines using vMotion and Storage vMotion technologies.
- IT Standards : Operate within established IT governance and enterprise architecture frameworks to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Performance Analysis : Analyze performance metrics and provide comprehensive workload updates.
- Issue Resolution : Address and resolve VMware ESX host-related issues with precision.
- Mentorship : Guide and support junior staff, providing training and leadership.
- Policy Development : Contribute to the creation of IT policies, procedures, and methodologies.
