Responsibilities
Position Summary : Provides daily and strategic administrative oversight and operational control for the assigned Cardiovascular departments Implements monitoring in the fiscal management of the department. Manages department budget within fiscal year approved targets. Explores and initiates revenue enhancement activities such as program development. Principal Duties and Accountabilities :
- Assures departmental competency and compliance to all regulatory, accreditation and hospital standards of care.
- Prepares and justifies annual budgeting including, anticipates realistic volume trends, maintains effective staffing and leadership development plans, determines productive and non-productive expenditures, determines and prioritizes capital expedites and determines non-labor expense requirements justified.
- Implements control in fiscal management of the department, manages department budget within fiscal year approved targets, explores and initiates revenue enhancement activities such as program development.
- Develops, implements and monitors department safety management programs which includes Workers' Compensation, patient safety and written safety procedures.
