What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Business Development position at Talent?
One of Talent's best repeat clients is hiring for an extremely exciting role on their team - Director of Business Development! The company is a strongly positioned startup experiencing fantastic growth and success. They operate in the Fintech space, specifically selling to RIA's. The ideal candidate for this role will be a strong seller with Fintech Platform Sales experience, and the desire to mentor 2 junior sellers.
This role is 5 days/week onsite in NYC - this is a strict policy so please take into consideration when applying.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct the entire sales process, from prospecting to close
- Proactively reach out to RIA's to sell software platform, through cold calling, emails, networking
- Attend JR AE's meetings to help close prospects
- Attend industry conferences and other events
- Mentor and lead JR AE's on the team, helping them with specific industry knowledge
- Help develop overall GTM strategy
Qualifications:
- 5 years of software platform sales - specifically selling into RIA's
- Strong knowledge and network in the Wealth Management space, ability to understand prospects and their unique needs
- Desire to be a part of a growing startup - must be a self-starter who works well with autonomy
- Ability to work 5 days onsite in their NYC office.
