About the Role :
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing diagnostic imaging services to our patients. You will operate sophisticated nuclear detection and imaging equipment, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, and administer them to patients while adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise will enable physicians to accurately diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions. This is a per diem position offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a leading healthcare facility.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, ensuring patient safety and minimizing radiation exposure.
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including gamma scintillation cameras and other scanning devices.
- Perform quality control checks on equipment and maintain accurate records.
- Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and provide compassionate care.
- Maintain detailed patient records and logs, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
- Safely handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials.
- Participate in continuing education to stay abreast of advancements in nuclear medicine technology.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Perform general office duties as needed, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and ordering supplies.
