Phlebotomist
Tow Harbors, MN
Days 8x5, 0900-1730
13 weeks Contract (possibility of extension)
Pay: $30/hour to $34/hour on W2
Tentative Start Date: 03/03/2025
Job Description
- The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting patient specimens from outside or within the Hospital in accordance with established procedures.
- Responsible for traveling to nursing homes and private residences to collect specimens from patients.
- Responsible for distributing specimens to appropriate area(s) within the laboratory.
- Responsible for general clerical duties. Responsible for trouble-shooting written and electronic orders in the outpatient lab.
- Responsible for performing Point-Of-Care testing in the outpatient setting and in limited hospital locations.
Requirements
- Six (6) months phlebotomy experience.
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Must maintain a valid drivers license.
- Phlebotomy certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathology or equivalent agency.
Education
- High School graduate or equivalent. - Required
- Graduated from accredited phlebotomy program. - Preferred
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
