About Our Team
Mechanical Systems Integration is dedicated to updating and developing new components and subsystems used on fork truck products. The Systems Integration team provides research, design, and development expertise to new product development programs. These programs may be applicable to new fork truck features and/or options. As a member of our Systems Integration team, you will collaborate with our Procurement team and cross-functional engineering teams within the organization to progress your ideas and designs forward through the product development process.
About The Position
Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Co-Ops at Raymond have led their own projects that have an impact on the daily engineering design and testing that support production. You will be working with a cross-functional team to resolve issues, form processes, and help Raymond meet its Toyota vision. Assists in the development, planning, testing, and/or modification of manufacturing processes and systems within a TPS-based environment.
The ideal candidate will have a basis of manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, or quality engineering coursework completed and a desire to put those skills to work on real-world problems and solutions in a cross-functional team environment. We are seeking a creative, energetic problem solver with good communication and teamwork skills. Experience with design of experiments and data analysis is preferred. Exposure to assembly and/or metal fabrication processes (welding, CNC machining or turning, forming) is preferred. Self-motivation and strong interpersonal skills are required. The successful co-op should expect to leave much better qualified as an entry-level engineer with experience from a global leader in a variety of manufacturing processes.
About The Schedule
This position is full-time, 1st shift; Monday - Friday.
About You
Wage - $18.50-$24.25 per hour. Compensation depends on degree program and academic year (Undergrad or Grad).

- Provide regular work updates to Lead Engineers or the department manager.

About You
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- At the time of the co-op, candidate must be at a Junior undergrad level.
- Minimum 2.5 GPA.
- May to January or August to January 2025
- Knowledge of strengths of materials, FEA/stress analysis, statics, dynamics, fatigue, machine design, and 3-D solid modeling (Creo preferred).
- Ability to successfully interface with a diverse group (i.e. lab technicians, designers, engineers, leadership staff).
- Working knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- General knowledge of design for manufacturing and assembly.
- Strong presentation and communication skills - comfortable presenting to a diverse audience.
- Creative, energetic, and hands-on approach for designing prototyping, testing, and problem solving.
