How You'll Shape The Future Of The Sourcing Department
- Is responsible for purchasing operations and field support, including managing the performance of a robust ordering process, supporting the organization's long term reliability improvement that ultimately improves financial results, and manages a team of operational Buyers that are charged with ensuring that all ordered goods and/or services are at a level consistent with the commercial agreement.
- Will be responsible for supplier commercial negotiations where the goods and/or service are deemed non-strategic, is a key player in fully leveraging the capabilities of SAP Procure to Pay system and is focused on identifying gaps relative to standard enterprise business processes; thereby contributing to the development of strategies to bridge any gaps.
- Establish yearly strategic objectives with action plans for the buying team and assuming overall responsibility for managing discrepancies between products and services ordered and actual quality delivered.
- Develop team members through mentoring or coaching in complex subjects, provide performance management and employee development as necessary, and support cross functional teams to resolve quality issues working with both internal and external resources.
- Provide input into standards for operational excellence, work with suppliers to develop effective business relationships to facilitate improvements in all related aspects of the supplier relationship and will oversee supplier performance and work with Category Managers to develop supplier improvement plans.
- Ensure the processing of all company purchase orders in a timely and professional manner by following up on open POs to ensure on-time receipt and quality compliance.
- Work with accounting to ensure proper PO and invoice matching, identifying discrepancies and seeking prompt resolutions.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration and/or procurement professional certification or a minimum of 10 years relevant work experience.
- At least 3 years of SAP S4/HANA Fiori Procure to Pay Experience and some exposure to procurement practices in a heavy industrial setting.
- Excellent computer skills, verbal and written communication skills, and an action-oriented, self-starter, leadership style that is also collaborative and accountable.
- English / French bilingual skills are preferred.
