As a Senior Firmware Development Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and integration of robust firmware solutions for our next-generation products. You will also advance our embedded Linux (Yocto Linux) platform to ensure top quality, performance, and security throughout the product lifecycle.

What You’ll Do
- Innovate & Architect: Design and implement firmware for complex, integrated systems while driving design reviews and best practices.
- Develop & Document: Write, review, and document high-quality C code; enhance the Embedded Linux platform to meet evolving requirements.
- Collaborate & Mentor: Lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and translate business needs into effective technical strategies.
- Support Lifecycle: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation to support product innovation from design through deployment.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 10 years of hands-on firmware development experience, preferably in heavy equipment or automotive sectors.
- Strong expertise in C/C with demonstrated proficiency in multi-threading, multi-process programming, object-oriented design, and microcontroller development.
- Experience with embedded Linux systems (Yocto Linux preferred) and integrating wireless protocols (cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth).
- Hands-on proficiency with hardware interfaces such as CAN, UART, SPI and I2C.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.
- Highly autonomous, adaptable to shifting priorities, with a commitment to continuous learning and Toyota’s core values.
