Position: Production Supervisor / Maintenance Technician
Location: Pageland, SC (Relocation allowed and relocation expense will be given)
Duration: Full-time
Pay Rate: $65,000 - $85,000 per year with Benefits.
Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor / Maintenance Technician is a position that will oversee the daily operations of production and maintenance functions within the plant. This role ensures that production schedules are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The individual will also perform essential maintenance duties to ensure the smooth operation of mechanical and electrical equipment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Supervision:
- Ensure safe working practices across all production processes according to EHS standards.
- Perform daily safety observations (e.g., Walk & Talk, JSA) and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure daily production schedules and targets are met while optimizing labor utilization and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Supervise absenteeism, holidays, safety rule enforcement, environmental risk analysis, and performance board updates.
- Oversee the coordination of production processes to minimize downtime and optimize workflow.
- Provide feedback to team members and ensure adherence to performance standards.
- Train and coach employees on standards, continuously improving their skills and knowledge.
- Lead the execution of 5S principles and Kaizen workshops to drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Monitor and adjust production processes to optimize performance and anticipate potential downtime issues related to machinery, materials, or labor.
Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance duties such as plumbing, rough carpentry, welding, and building maintenance.
- Install and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment, diagnosing complex issues and performing repairs.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical controls, as well as wiring complicated equipment such as automatic controls.
- Assist with the maintenance and operation of mechanical and electrical systems across the facility.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of machinery.
- Follow safety procedures and wear required safety equipment while performing maintenance tasks.
- Keep work areas clean and organized at all times.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Maintenance environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to delegate daily assignments and provide feedback.
- Previous experience with electrical and mechanical equipment, including diagnostic analysis and repair.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision instruments for maintenance tasks.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Capable of performing physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting up to 60 lbs, climbing ladders, and bending frequently.
