We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support our clients attorneys and ensure smooth operations in their Columbia, SC office.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and format legal documents (briefs, pleadings, correspondence).
- File documents with state and federal courts (e-filing knowledge a plus).
- Proofread documents for accuracy and maintain client files.
- Manage attorney calendars and coordinate travel arrangements.
- Handle attorney expenses and provide phone support.
- Review vendor invoices, conduct conflict checks, and monitor CLE credits.
Requirements:
- High school diploma (college degree preferred).
- 5 years of legal secretary experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office, document management systems, and legal filing systems.
- Typing speed of 65 wpm; shorthand/speed writing a plus.
