Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the production team to meet or exceed production goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability.
- Manage day-to-day operations to ensure the production schedule is met while maintaining product quality standards.
- Develop and implement long-term production strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Identify and address operational bottlenecks, and recommend and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality control, supply chain, etc.) to improve overall production performance.
- Design, develop, and implement new production processes and procedures that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure the highest quality standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements and implement best practices in workplace safety.
- Manage production budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation (manpower, materials, and machinery) to meet production targets within budget.
- Lead employee training and development programs to enhance skills and performance within the production team.
- Promote a collaborative and inclusive working environment that encourages employee engagement and innovation.
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field (preferred); equivalent experience will be considered.
- 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing management role.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing production strategies and improving operational performance.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
