This multi-year program is a key initiative to enhance and implement a consistent supervision framework and supervisory escalation infrastructure that strengthens oversight of market conduct risks across CIB.
This role will partner with business leaders and stakeholders to proactively manage and strengthen operational risk controls, support the development and execution of control activities, and help ensure adherence to supervisory standards, procedures, and governance expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and enhancement of the CIB Supervisory Framework and control environment.
- Design, document, and implement trade monitoring controls and other market conduct risk mitigation measures.
- Perform data analysis to identify automation opportunities for control activities.
- Execute control activities as part of Business-As-Usual (BAU) operations and escalate exceptions as needed.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and compliance partners on unauthorized trading risk mitigation, including:
- Trader mandate monitoring
- Licensing and registration tracking
- Identification of anomalous trading behavior
- Maintain and update supervision standards, procedures, and documentation.
- Partner with 2nd Line of Defense (2LoD) Compliance to execute policies and governance routines.
- Develop and present reports, dashboards, and materials for senior leadership on control outcomes, key metrics, KRIs, and KPIs.
- Provide training and communication to business teams regarding new or updated controls and expectations.
- Identify, assess, and escalate risks and issues in a timely and effective manner.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in risk management, business controls, compliance, quality assurance, business operations, or a related field.
- Experience within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), with a solid understanding of its products, services, and risk landscape.
- Proven ability to analyze business processes, design control activities, and execute them effectively.
- Strong documentation, governance, and metrics/reporting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
