Position Overview:

As a Senior SBA Underwriter, you will play a vital role in evaluating and managing borrower risk, structuring credit opportunities, and supporting our rapid growth. You’ll work closely with Business Development Officers, provide detailed credit analysis, and be a key contributor to our innovative technology and credit platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze business and personal financial information for credit decisions
• Document and analyze cash flows, projections, and global financial statements
• Prepare detailed credit presentations and recommend loan approvals or denials
• Monitor loan portfolios, manage covenant compliance, and conduct annual reviews
• Train team members on financial analysis and reinforce strong credit culture
• Stay current on banking regulations and maintain knowledge of bank policies and products

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance preferred
• 5 years of experience in commercial banking and SBA underwriting required
• Expertise in C&I, CRE, and SBA lending; experience with Abrigo Sageworks and FIS Horizon is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trust and relationships

Pay

• $75,000 - $85,000 /year
