The Computerized Tomography (CT) Technologist is responsible for performing a wide range of routine and advanced imaging procedures using state-of-the-art computerized diagnostic imaging equipment. The technologist will also provide support to other imaging technologists as needed. Major Job Responsibilities- Competency Development: Meet the expectations of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Diagnostic Procedures: Perform various diagnostic imaging procedures, including complex cases, utilizing advanced CT technology.
- IV Access: Demonstrate proficiency in starting and maintaining intravenous (IV) access and utilizing high-speed, pressurized injection equipment.
- Patient Evaluation: Assess patients for clinical contrast history and identify possible contraindications.
- Protocol Adherence: Follow established section protocols, quality assurance (QA) guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Patient Interaction: Interact effectively with patients and care providers, coordinating and prioritizing procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and continuity.
- Department Rotation: Exhibit flexibility and willingness to rotate among departments and clinics for adequate coverage.
- Assistance with Procedures: Support Radiologists during invasive and biopsy procedures, utilizing CT equipment to accurately locate anatomical sites.
- Room Maintenance: Ensure that exam rooms are clean, well-stocked, and compliant with Infection Control standards prior to procedures.
- Billing Accuracy: Ensure all charges are correctly coded and entered.
- Patient-Centered Care: Adapt patient assessment and care methods to meet the diverse physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and developmental needs of each patient.
- Confidentiality Protection: Maintain the confidentiality of patient information and only disclose necessary information in the course of job duties.

Education/Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or an accepted and approved equivalent program is required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting is required.
- Preferred: 3 years of CT experience in a clinical imaging environment.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) required.
- ARRT certification in CT required.
- Current state licensure required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
