The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Graduate Education Master's Degree Programs admissions, recruiting, enrollment, and onboarding processes. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students and matriculating students.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage admissions email inbox; respond to all application-related general inquiries from students; provide guidance to prospective and current applicants during the admissions cycle.
• Verify official transcripts and test scores for admitted students; ensure official documents meet our requirements; perform outreach to matriculating students to ensure receipt of official documents.
• Maintain internal wiki for program administrators; update wiki as needed with training materials and instructional guidance.
• Assist with updating forms in the application system by liaising with program administrators to seek updated information related to cost of attendance, program start and end dates.
• Assist the Admissions Operations Coordinator and Marketing Coordinator in creating event registrations and communications for information sessions.
• Contribute to Graduate Education admissions, recruitment, and enrollment goals by executing special projects identified by the Admissions Operations Coordinator or Senior Associate Dean for Graduate Education.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 2 years higher education administration or admissions-related work experience
Additional Qualifications and Skills:
• Sound judgment, ability to exercise discretion with highly confidential data
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively with a team
Coordinates and has direct responsibility for a program, project, event or program. Creates and implements administrative systems to manage area of responsibility. Serves as main source of information, effectively responding to inquiries from potential customers, participants, academic collaborators. Prepares and maintains records, reports, budget and plans. May maintain a web page, website, or program materials. Requires 2 to 3 years of related experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction. Able to plan, prioritize, and track work. Basic or better proficiency on common office software.
