Position: Director Emergency Services

Facility: Fort Worth, TX 76177

Shift: Days

Bonus incentive target: 15-22.5% (Based on Performance)

Job Summary and Qualifications:

The role of the Director of the Emergency Services Department assures service, growth, development, personnel management, and resource allocation and management controls in order to ensure consistent high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department.

What qualifications you will need:

• Need to have 3 years of strong and current/recent ED director ACUTE CARE experience over a similar size/scope facility.
• Managers would be considered if they are performing in a director role, must have proven track record with metrics/accomplishments listed on resume.
• Must have experience mentoring new leaders.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing required
• Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or a related field preferred
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Additional Information:

· MAIN ED 2 FSEDs

· Hospital 117 beds - level 3 trauma center; want to move to level 2 eventually

· Main 100-120 a day; 21 ED beds

· Haslet FSED 22 a day; 12

· Saginaw FSED – 60-65; in winter can go to 100

· Surgical hospital across the street – there is an ED treatment room – EMTALA log only

· Do a lot of ortho/spine – no CVOR or neuro

· ~75 FTEs

· Reports to CNO

· Excellent partner in medical director

· CMS rating - 5 star

· CEO - since been built - hospital almost 10 years

· No COO

· VP Operations – since facility opened

· CNO – been there since March of last year; been with HCA many years

· Will need to develop new manager
