Our business is driving rapid improvements through line design, automation, materials management, and NPI development. This internship role will provide support to the engineering team and assist with problem solving, lab layout, construction, production support, shipping and distribution. The candidate will gain hands-on experience, team skills, layout skills combined with improving their overall engineering skills being mentored by seasoned engineers with varying backgrounds. This is an on-site based role located the South End, Boston, MA.

Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)
- Construction of custom automated lab devices
- Wiring lab devices
- Assist with functional testing and analysis of equipment
- Operate power tools such as drills, saws, and machine shop equipment
- Assist with troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing of equipment **** Proprietary Information
- Assemble multi-level electro-mechanical sub-assemblies into complex assemblies using a variety of hand tools
- Improve and document manufacturing equipment, tooling and processes

- Demonstrated hands-on electromechanical project or job experience
- Solidworks and AutoCAD
- Programming of microprocessors
- Willing to learn LEAN manufacturing concepts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time
- Be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity
- Specific vision abilities required by this job may include color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception
