Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Specialist to join our team at TalentBurst, an Inc 5000 company. As a Mechanical Systems Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of metal components used in our glass manufacturing process.
Main Responsibilities
This role requires a deep understanding of metals and metal alloys, fabrication techniques, weld inspection, measurement, and metrology systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Applying engineering skills to inspect metal components
- Evaluating the quality of metal components against specifications and design prints
- Interpreting technical documentation, including specifications and design prints
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field
- SolidWorks/CAD proficiency
- Understanding of GD&T applications and principles
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with advanced metrology tools, such as CMMs, vision systems, and 3D scanning, is highly desirable. Additionally, knowledge of AWS welding certification, metal fabrication skills, and comprehensive knowledge of weld and material characterization techniques would be beneficial in this role.
