Description :
Monday-Friday, 8 : 00-4 : 30 with a lunch break around 12.
The location for this position is at two different sites : the main Boston East campus at 330 Brookline Ave for the routine office work and the West campus at 110 Francis St for the providers clinic (~a 5 minute walk between campuses down 1 street).
High school diploma / GED required, 1-3 years administrative experience, experience with computer systems (web based systems, MS office, etc) required.
Experience with Epic is preferred.
Job Duties include :
- Answering and screening phone calls, scheduling appointments, taking messages, directing calls to clinical staff as needed.
- Checking in, registering and collecting copayments for patients.
- Updating patients demographic and insurance information as necessary.
- Coordinates patient care with off-site locations as needed.
- Obtaining insurance referrals and prior authorizations for visits, procedures and surgeries. Obtains patient information and medical records from referral sources.
- Manages providers clinical and administrative calendars.
- Types correspondence. The candidate should have a high level of customer service skills and strong critical thinking and problem solving skills. They should be able to communicate effectively and professionally.
- They need to be able to work collaboratively with the team of administrative assistants, medical assistant, nurses and providers.
Must be separated from BILH for 12 months to be considered, travel, perm, per diem - Parking can cost up to $43 / day - please reach out for details.
