Facilities Technician II

Shift : 1st Shift : 5 : 30 am - 6 pm, (3-day and 4-day, weekly rotation)
The position of Facilities Technician II will, with limited supervision, perform routine repairs and maintenance on facilities and facility-related equipment. Work will include, but not be limited to, work involving one or more of the following trades : carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC / refrigeration repair and installation.
This job description will be reviewed periodically and is subject to change by management.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform routine, periodic, and special inspections to assess equipment health and safety.
- Assist in packing, moving, and reconfiguring the Facility areas.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance actions on facilities equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, layouts and wiring diagrams.
- Perform and document routine maintenance actions.
- Perform and document assigned workorder requests.
- Escort and assist outside vendors in the performance of their contractual obligations.
- Maintain records.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts.
- Respond to alarm or trouble calls as required.
- Provide guidance to other technicians and personnel within the Facilities Department.
- Establish a basic understanding of Building Management System (Client) to monitor equipment status, change equipment status for maintenance actions, change setpoints (as allowed), troubleshoot malfunctions or problems, etc.
- Make recommendations on cost savings initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned
