Job Description for Certified Respiratory Therapist
We are seeking an ambitious and skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in evaluating the respiratory needs of patients and developing personalized Respiratory Care Plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient respiratory needs and develop individualized care plans
- Operate acute care ventilators for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation
- Maintain accurate department and hospital records, entering information into the hospital computer system
- Administer routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all ages
Requirements:
- Completion of a Vocational/Technical program or AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associates Degree); Bachelor Degree preferred
- Current Florida State License (CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist
- American Heart Association BLS health care provider certification required
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within 6 months of hire
- Frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and movement
