Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Sterile Processing Technician Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 02 / 10 / 2025 Duration : 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours Employment Type : Local Contract Sterile Processing Tech Lancaster PA, 17602 13 weeks (3pm-11 : 30pm) Details : Sterile Processing Tech - 3pm-11 : 30pm, with some weekends required. Must have 5 year's experience as an SPT with specific skills in Ortho and Neuro. Travel experience highly preferred. Position Overview : The Sterile Processing Technician ensures the proper cleaning, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment. This role is critical to maintaining infection control standards and ensuring the availability of sterile supplies for medical procedures. Key Responsibilities : Instrument Cleaning and Sterilization : Decontaminate, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments, trays, and equipment using approved methods and protocols. Operate and monitor sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic washers. Inspect instruments for cleanliness, damage, or malfunctions and perform basic maintenance or report issues. Inventory Management : Maintain accurate records of sterilized items, equipment maintenance, and inventory levels. Assemble and wrap instrument trays, ensuring proper configuration for specific procedures. Restock sterile supplies and ensure that all areas of the facility are adequately equipped. Compliance and Safety : Adhere to infection control and sterilization standards as per hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
