Job Overview
TalentBurst, Inc is seeking a highly skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join their team in a local contract role. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort while maintaining compliance with established protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI scans following physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns to alleviate anxiety.
- Operate and maintain MRI equipment, ensuring proper functionality and image quality.
- Administer contrast agents as required while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to assess images and ensure diagnostic accuracy.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with patient scheduling and workflow efficiency within the imaging department.
Requirements:
- Active ARRT (MRI) certification required.
- State licensure as an MRI Technologist (if applicable).
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of MRI experience preferred (new graduates with clinical training considered).
- Proficiency in operating MRI scanners and imaging software.
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols, including working with implants and contrast media.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
